About

Hmmm, where to start. My academic background is in Philosophy – I spent 5 years studying that subject at the graduate level at Tulane University, where I focused on American Pragmatism, especially the work of John Dewey, George Herbert Mead, and Charles Sanders Peirce. But, I have always enjoyed playing with technology. After working on a dissertation for a couple of years, I realized that working with computers would be infinitely more interesting than continuing my study of philosophy at a professional level. In the end, though, university life is like a siren call, so I worked as an Instructional Technologist at Tulane University’s Innovative Learning Center for about 8 years. At the moment, I’m the Manager of Professional Development at Lone Star College – Tomball. In addition to this blog, I also maintain a more technology oriented blog.
