About

Hmmm, where to start. My academic background is in Philosophy - I spent 5 years studying that subject at the graduate level at Tulane University, where I focused on American Pragmatism, especially the work of John Dewey, George Herbert Mead, and Charles Sanders Peirce. But, I have always been enamored with technology. After working on a dissertation for a couple of years, I realized that working with computers would be infinitely more interesting than continuing my study of philosophy at a professional level. In the end, though, university life is like a siren call, so I have worked my way into the perfect job over the last couple of years. At the moment I’m working as an Instructional Technologist at Tulane University’s Innovative Learning Center. I maintain a more technology oriented blog there.
